According to a recent survey by Harvey Nash, some 7 percent of companies polled?and 16 percent of companies with IT budgets greater than $100 million?already have chief digital officers in place. In fact, about half of the Fortune 500 will appoint a CDO by 2016, predicts Constellation Research, a San Francisco-based research firm focused on digital disruption.
